Embassy Suites launches third annual summer photo contest

Memphis, TN (May 23, 2007) Embassy Suites Hotels today announced the launch of its popular "Snap Happy" family vacation photo contest with a "Happiness in Motion" theme, encouraging participants to capture the family travel journey - both physical and emotional - on film. From planning and packing, to activities and discoveries and all the way through to the arrival back home, Embassy Suites wants to see it - in pictures.

Throughout the summer, families can enter the contest by submitting their favorite summer 2007 photos online at embassysnaphappy.com where kids and families can also find downloadable travel games, fun travel music and 'virtual' photo postcards to send to families and friends around the world.

Families can submit up to three photos online at embassysnaphappy.com from now until September 3rd, 2007. One Grand Prize Winner will receive a trip for four (4) to Embassy Suites Hotel - Waikiki Beach Walk in Hawaii, including roundtrip airfare, $500 in spending money, exciting tour packages for popular Waikiki attractions and Canon Digital Camcorder to document their travels. Ten First Prize Winners will receive a Canon Powershot Digital Camera and fifteen Second Prize Winners will a Panasonic 8.5" Portable DVD Player. More than 3,600 photos were submitted during last year's contest.

"We recognize that there's more to the journey than just the travel time between home and your destination," said John Lee, vice president of brand marketing for Embassy Suites Hotels. "This year's Snap Happy contest will celebrate the moments, both big and small, that happen in between." Also new this year is downloadable games that families can play together in the car, on the train or aboard the airplane, providing connection and fun along the way. Activities include:

Snap Happy Travel Songs: A great way to keep the kids - and the grownups - entertained on the road. From kids' favorites like Laurie Berkner and The Backyardigans to Elvis Presley and U2, this list provides music suggestions to help you find all the tunes you'll need to pass away the time in the car.

Snap Happy Scavenger Hunt: Whether you're traveling by plane, train or automobile, Embassy Suites' Snap Happy Scavenger Hunt lists provides everything you will need to seek out fun on your travels. From the typical brown cow to a convertible and person snoring on a plane, this list will help keep your children occupied during travel down time.

Virtual Snap Happy Photo Postcards: Families can upload images to the Snap Happy site and choose from many fun, virtual frames to adorn their pix. Summer vacation photos can then be sent from the Snap Happy website to friends and family around the world.
