LAS VEGAS (April 1, 2008) - - Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, the city's first AAA Five Diamond hotel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Four Seasons veteran Mark Hellrung as its new general manager. Mr. Hellrung joins Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas following the retirement of George Cordon, who served as the Hotel's general manager for the past eight years.
Although new to Las Vegas, Mr. Hellrung has been part of the Four Seasons family for more than 15 years, most recently serving as General Manager for two of the company's Hawaii properties, Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay and Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele. Under Mr. Hellrung's leadership and in just over four years, the Resorts underwent a complete physical transformation and more than doubled its revenues.
A graduate of the University of Houston's hotel program in his native Texas, Mr. Hellrung first joined Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts at the Pierre Hotel, New York as Hotel Manager. He was then promoted to General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Nevis, West Indies, which became the only AAA Five Diamond Hotel in the Caribbean during his time at the helm. Following his stint at the Caribbean property, Mr. Hellrung returned to his hometown, where he served as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Houston before moving to Lana'i.
As an intimate, non-gaming hotel located at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, the 424-room Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas is in a unique position to showcase individualized service with the finest amenities and attention to detail. Hotel dining facilities include Verandah Restaurant, featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner and indoor and outdoor seating, and Charlie Palmer Steak, open nightly for dinner. The Spa features 16 elegantly appointed treatment rooms. Its success is touted with accolades such as Travel + Leisure Magazine ranking it #12 overall in its Top Hotel Spas in the U.S. and Canada list in 2007.
