SPOKANE, WA (June 24, 2008) - Red Lion Hotels Corporation (NYSE: RLH) has
announced the appointment of Jeff Gouge, a 20-year hospitality veteran, as
General Manager of the Red Lion Hotel Fifth Avenue in downtown Seattle,
Washington.
Most recently, Gouge served as Director of Operations for the Pacific
Northwest region for The Hotel Group, the Edmonds, WA-based management
company. In this capacity, Gouge was responsible for the hotel operations
for 10 properties in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, which included Hilton
Garden Inn, Marriott Courtyard, Holiday Inn Express and Best Western
brands as well as an independent.
Prior to his position at The Hotel Group, Gouge was Hotel Manager for The
Embassy Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe, CA and the Embassy Suites Hotel
in New York City; he was General Manager at the Embassy Suites Hotel in
Bloomington, MN, and Hotel Manager of the Hilton Seattle Airport and
Conference Center.
Gouge is coming home to Red Lion Hotels as he served as Director of Front
Office Services for the Red Lion Hotels in Richland and Spokane,
Washington and began his hospitality career working in various capacities
at the Red Lion Hotel in Pasco, Washington.
A native of Benton City, Washington, Gouge has been an active member of
the Rotary Internationals in Bloomington, MN, Tukwila, WA and South Lake
Tahoe; Board member of the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and the South
Lake Tahoe Lodging Association, as well as the Southwest King Country
Chamber (WA). He enjoys golf, fishing and other outdoor recreational
activities. He currently resides in Issaquah, WA with his wife and two
children.
