ATLANTA - Stephen J. Stark has been named director of operations for the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center (GTHCC). Managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts, GTHCC is a full-service, 252-room hotel with 21,000 square feet of meeting space in Midtown Atlanta.
Stark, who joined GTHCC in May 2008, has more than 20 years of hotel and resort management experience. He most recently served as director of operations for the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort in Flintstone, Maryland, a AAA Four Diamond property also managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts.
Previously he was general manager of the Fieldstone Resort and Conference Center in Hiawassee, GA, and director of food and beverage for the Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, GA. Prior to that Stark worked for various Hyatt hotel properties. He was director of food and beverage at the Hyatt Regency Hilton Head in Hilton Head, SC, director of operations for the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Washington state, and the assistant director of food and beverage at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, FL.
Stark was born in Pennsylvania, raised in New York City and currently lives in Blairsville, GA, with his wife and two children.
