The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center hosted the eighth annual Restaurant and Hospitality Stars of Alabama Awards Reception and Dinner on Monday, October 27th, 2008. The event was a huge success, with more than 250 general managers and mangers of Alabama hotels and restaurants in attendance. Finalists were presented with certificates of recognition and the category winners received engraved trophies. The hotel was honored to have two staff members receive rewards: Glenn Martin won the "Hospitality Employee of the Year Award" and and Daniel Hollifield won the "Bartender of the Year Award."
